Confessions, public art project, The Cosmopolitan, Las Vegas, Nevada by Candy Chang.

For one month, Chang lived in Vegas. Visitors could stop by, enter a booth, write whatever thoughts they wanted to share, and drop the confession into a box that mixed anonymously with other slips. Chang then took the anonymous slips and displayed them on the walls, painting selected responses in white against a larger red canvas background. According to Chang’s website, “This project seeks to create a cathartic sanctuary for this temporary community and help us see we are not alone in our quirks, experiences and struggles as we try to lead fulfilling lives.”

Just leave... You'll be doing him a favor. You say you love him and change isn't easy. You talk of how he deserves the best and your mistakes don't allow for that. Don't you think if he was so worth it you'd finally realize it after two plus years and stop hurting him? You say he deserves someone better but he can't find that someone if he's stuck to someone who hurts him. I'm sure you can be a great girlfriend but not to him. Too much damage has been done to try and resolve the pain. My 2 cents

ill answer this myself (faheem) even if it wasnt for me… i cant really disagree with everything you have to say cuz its true… im hurt at the moment and ive been hurt throughout the relationship, for the past 2 years… but everything wasnt her fault. i chunk of it was MY fault for being too nice to her and everyone else around me, u should never be too nice to anyone and i learned that the hard way. it doesnt matter who it is, family or friend, because at the end of the day, u only have urself to truely trust. i always thought being nice to everyone especially her would get me through everything with out a problem but instead people eventually realize it and see it as something they can take advantage of rather than appreciating it. whenever i messed up, people would give me such a hard time where apologies just dont cut it, but when people like her mess up with me i accept her apologies and try to suck it up. i gave her chance on top of chance on top of chance every single time our relationship hit a bump on the road because of her. i was too soft with her when i shouldve asserted my anger and stood my ground when i was hurt. i cant expect her to be perfect… shes my girlfriend, not my wife, she still has time to learn and mature, shes only 18. how can u expect that much from someone in high school? everythings a learning process, im not taking her side or anything cuz im still upset cuz she didnt learn from things she did multiple times. shes my girlfriend and im in love with her, u may think im dumb for staying with her but u dont know me and u dont know her on a personal level. tealling her to “just leave” doesnt do me a favor cuz if u actually KNEW me, u would know how much she means to me, you would know that im not a weak little fuck who cant handle some pain unlike other people. if she left me because of you, id be in worse pain, is that doing me a favor? no. ur 2 cents was appreciated but the first 2 statements werent cuz why say that as an anon? cuz my 2 cents to you is that ur 2 cents would mean a lot more if u came off anon. idk wat life problems ur going through but i hope one day u can overcome ur fear of leaving messages without clicking the anonymous option. god bless you
